On August 26, 1942, the Vichy regime ordered all foreign Jews in the region to be sent to Lyon for deportation. Unlike the Vel d'Hiv round-up where all Jews were deported, 108 children were saved in Lyon thanks to the "Christian Friendship" association founded by Abbot Glasberg. Valérie Perthuis Portheret, a historian, reconstructed the story of 90 of these children in a book. Interview with Lili Garel, who helped rescue these children.
