In 1974, Chantal AKERMAN found it important to work with a women’s technical team. Even though it is still difficult for women to occupy technical positions traditionally reserved for men, as head of sound operator or engineer, she no longer considers it necessary for a woman to prove her abilities. She refuses to be labeled as a woman making movies. She is a creator among others. "I can’t say: women, women, women... I can say: I, I, I. I can’t speak for other women".
