Return to the atmosphere rue de Marignan (Paris), HQ of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing beaten in the second round of the presidential election by the socialist candidate François Mitterrand. A journalist makes his paper in a sad atmosphere with activists with their faces closed or crying. After a moment of despondency, the supporters of the outgoing president shout "Mitterrand fucked! The Giscardians are in the street", raising their hands (v of victory), then they chant "Giscard! Giscard!...". An official asked that no public demonstrations be held.
