The collection of furniture, objects and paintings by designer Karl LAGERFELD will be auctioned off in April and May 2000. The collection, estimated at 270 million francs, was presented this morning in Paris, but the sale will take place in Monaco and New York pending the reform of the status of auctioneers challenging their monopoly. Images from the collection of Karl LAGERFELD and interview with François PINAULT, CEO of Christie’s who wants Paris to regain its place as capital of art.
