Journalist Caroline Thébaud explains on set the differences between existing organic labels. Following a European regulation in 2009, a new European label has just appeared. While this new logo respects much of the charter of organic production, guaranteeing soil fertility, animal welfare and resource management, it is less demanding than the French AB label. There are two other labels that meet stricter, non-institutional criteria: Bio Coherence, a private collective brand and Demeter, an international logo. They aim, unlike French and European institutional labels, to make 100% organic.
