Patrick Raynaud’s roundabout in the Buers district
The roundabout of the artist Patrick Raynaud specialized in monumental sculpture was unveiled in Villeurbanne in the district of Buers in the absence of the artist selected in Hamburg but in the presence of the inhabitants of the district who would have liked to ask him questions... The merchants were mainly opposed to the installation of this sculpture in their neighbourhood even going so far as to tag the work. Charles Hernu, the mayor of Villeurbanne, by officially unveiling this sculpture wanted to explain the gesture of the artist and calm the opposition.
