La communauté arménienne commémore le génocide de 1915 au cours d'une cérémonie religieuse. Le révérend père, Nersey Baboudjan, explique que l'église est au coeur de la vie religieuse, culturelle et sociale des 7 000 habitants d'origine arménienne de la ville d'Alfortville. La légende dit que 6 survivants du génocide turc ont fondé la "petite Arménie" en 1923 dans cette commune du Val de Marne. Les petits enfants des rescapés perpétuent la mémoire des massacres et luttent pour la reconnaissance du génocide. Entouré de sa famille, Ardaches Denercessian raconte son arrivée en France. Rejoindre la communauté arménienne d'Alfortville et son église lui a été d'un grand réconfort.
