Demonstration in Creys Malville: one dead and dozens wounded
Violent clashes between anti-nuclear activists and the CRS on the outskirts of the future Creys Malville nuclear site resulted in the death of a young protester and many injured. The prefect had warned upstream that he would oppose any attempt to enter the forbidden zone. Two gendarmes, one with his hand torn off by an offensive grenade, and two German demonstrators were hospitalized. Images of demonstrators, gendarmes and clashes illustrate the journalist’s statement.
