A year after the death of Rémi Fraisse during a demonstration against the Sivens dam project, a tribute is paid to him at Plaisance du Touch. His father, Jean Pierre FRAISSE gives a speech in which he repeats his hope of seeing the offensive grenades totally forbidden. The calm of the gathering contrasts with the feelings of anger, indignation and misunderstanding caused by the young ecologist’s death. Gérard ONESTA, Vice President (EELV) of the Midi Pyrénées Regional Council, points out that after more than a year, the state has still not explained why the investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie while it was the gendarmes themselves who carried the fatal blow. One activist adds that the young man’s body has still not been returned to the family.
