The Amazon rainforest in danger

Report. The Amazon rainforest has lost the equivalent of the area of France in 10 years because of deforestation. This deforestation is mainly carried out with fires that are triggered voluntarily. A science station with a tower was installed in the heart of the forest to assess the impact of air pollution and global warming on the health of the Amazon, the lung of the planet. Interview with Paulo ARTAXO, from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, who explains the role of the forest, its fragilities and the functioning of the carbon dioxide concentration study laboratory
