De la vendange à la dégustation d'un grand cru, le processus de transformation requiert un savoir-faire artisanal. Le domaine du Château Lafite célèbre ses centièmes vendanges depuis 1868, date d'achat du château par le Baron James de Rothschild. La cave du château renferme encore des bouteilles des premières cuvées dont celle de 1869, réputée pour sa conservation et ses arômes exceptionnels.
