Foreign Minister Maurice SCHUMANN is interviewed about the imminent signing of an agreement on Vietnam. To the question "How do you feel about this ceasefire in Vietnam?" , he says, "A feeling of satisfaction, relief and regret", before substantiating these three points. He then answered the question: "What was France’s role in these negotiations?" "I dare say that our discrete role...has not been ineffective," he says.
