On January 30, 1944, General de GAULLE opens a conference in Brazzaville that brings together representatives of French territories of Africa around René PLEVEN, Commissioner for the Colonies, first step towards the French Union. The free French leader took advantage of this conference to undertake, in January-February 1944, a vast tour in West Africa (AOF) and French Equatorial Africa (AEF). Commentary on images of General Bangui, Central African Republic and Chad in Fort Lamy. Recall of the capture of Koufra in 1941 guided by Marshal Leclerc.
