Eid al-Kebir, the most important Muslim holiday, commemorates the sacrifice of Abraham by the slaughter of a sheep. A symbol of submission to God, this rite also celebrates sharing. It is an opportunity to reunite with family and friends but also to distribute meat to the poorest regardless of their religion.
