The Court of Appeal of Rennes sentenced Henri EMMANUELLI, former treasurer of the PS, to 18 months in prison with suspended sentence and 2 years of deprivation of civil rights, in the Urba case concerning the financing of the PS. At a press conference, Lionel JOSPIN, denounces an inequality of treatment of justice: "We note that the Socialist Party is struck at a time when systematically buried procedures that concern the financing of political parties of the majority...(...) We think that this way of hitting exclusively the PS is perhaps-not unrelated to the fact that it is the central force of the opposition in our country."
