The Assizes Court of Val de Marne tried the four torturers of Bruno WIEL, a young homosexual who was beaten and tortured one evening in 2006 in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne). The homophobic character of the crime has been recognized, and the guilty sentenced to sentences ranging from 16 to 20 years in prison.
