The Role of the Law Commission

The Role of the Law Commission

The deputy, Jean FOYER explains the role and functioning of the law commission in the National Assembly. The committee prepares the legislative work of the assembly. The study of a bill is entrusted to a few members who carefully study the entire text and the amendments clause by clause. They gather information, reflect on the consequences and applications of the bill, hold hearings, propose amendments and issue a report that will be debated in full session. The interview is illustrated by images of MEPs in committee.
