Fakir, the little newspaper that goes up

François Ruffin is editor of the fanzine "Fakir" in Amiens. With his two comrades, they write a different newspaper with an incisive style and define themselves as "activists" concerned about people’s daily lives. For François Ruffin the news represents "only the sound of waves on the surface". What interests him is "the movement of tectonic plates ... what we do not see, what does not make an event in the media".
