A strategic royal fortress built in the 13th century, which became the royal residence of the Dukes of Anjou in the 15th century, Angers Castle has survived the centuries. Catherine LEROI (in charge of public and development at the castle of Angers) gives us some secrets. It shows the inscription left by an English sailor taken prisoner in the fortress in 1779.
