Gérald Thomassin, suspected of the murder of Catherine Burgod, is missing
Gérald Thomassin, the hope of French cinema in 1991, was indicted for the murder of Catherine Burgod, killed in 2008 in the post office of Montreal la Cluse where she worked. Under judicial supervision Gérald Thomassin, who has always claimed his innocence, lives in Rochefort. On 29th August last he was summoned by the investigating judge in Lyon to be confronted for the very first time with another defendant in this case. But Gérald Thomassin never showed up and he’s been missing ever since. A criminal investigation has been opened for disturbing disappearance. Raymond Burgot, the victim’s father, is surprised that Gérald Thomassin was not monitored. Jacques Fremion, lawyer for the Burgod family, is surprised that this disappearance occurred just at the time of the closing of the trial.
