The abbey of Lessay

The abbey of Lessay

Christophe GUYOMARD discovers the abbey of Lessay, mined by the German soldiers before their retreat in 1944. It was completely destroyed. On 1 May 1959, it was inaugurated again. The Sainte Trinité Abbey of Lessay includes the abbey church, now a parish and open to the public. The conventual buildings are privately owned. The abbey is built according to the Benedictine plan.
