Martine Aubry: From difficult years to political victories
A look back at the difficult years of Martine Aubry, when she was defeated in the general elections by a young notary’s clerk, Sébastien Huyghe. She dedicated herself to the Lille City Hall and in March 2008 was re-elected with a historically high score. She decided to make it a springboard for a return to the national scene until her election as first secretary of the PS, 15 years after Pierre Mauroy.
