Lucien Paye, proud of his mission as French ambassador to the People’s Republic of China
In an interview, Lucien PAYE, appointed by General de Gaulle, France’s first ambassador to the People’s Republic of China expresses its pride in representing the French government in a country of more than 700 million inhabitants that cannot be ignored and whose destiny is essential to the whole world. He is very aware of the responsibility of this mission in a country with such a prestigious past and which works with "ardour, dynamism and discipline to forge its future and to make its destiny". It will therefore try to strengthen Franco-Chinese relations from a political, economic and cultural point of view.
