At the opening of the TV news the presenter Daniel SERILLON announces that the names of the eight French hostages in Lebanon will be quoted at each edition of the editorial of Antenne 2, until their release. They are Marcel Carton, Marcel Fontaine, Michel Seurat, Jean-Paul Kauffmann, and the Antenne 2 team, Philippe Rochot, Georges Hansen, Jean-Louis Normandin and Aurel Cornéa.
