Many private nurseries have opened in France. But how do these establishments work, particularly in terms of staff? Some are singled out for failures in their management. These breaches can be detrimental to the children in their care. A childcare assistant resigned from a structure, says: "We were understaffed. They did not systematically replace departing staff. It’s not normal to have two for every 18 children. It is not safe for the children nor for us".
