Asked by Bernard PIVOT about the scandal he causes within the Catholic Church, Monsignor Jacques GAILLOT answers "the scandal is not about me, it is about injustice, poverty, violence ... We must find the scandal where it exists". On his vows of obedience to the church, he says that obedience is done in dialogue. "I believe that what is difficult for a bishop is obedience to events, to appeals... it is not to obey other bishops or the pope."
