French Mitterrand on his participation in a demonstration against the "invasion des métèques" in 1935
During an interview at the Elysée Palace, Jean-Pierre ELKABBACH questions François MITTERRAND on one of the revelations of Pierre Péan’s book "A French Youth" which is his participation in a student demonstration against "the invasion of the geeks" in February 1935. If he does not deny his participation, the President of the Republic says that this "demonstration did not have this object or that he kept no memory of it", he adds: "I want to say that I have never been sensitive to racism".
