The group "Heavy Moonshine", composed of four young people from Boulogne-sur-mer, goes to Paris in the hope of winning contracts. Their means of locomotion, a Volkswagen Combi, also serves them as accommodation in a campsite, since musicians cannot afford to pay for accommodation in the capital.
