Des patients contaminés par le virus du sida, mis sous antirétroviraux, continuent plus de sept ans après avoir cessé de prendre ces médicaments, de bloquer leur infection. Malgré tout, pour les chercheurs de l'Institut Pasteur, la course au vaccin se justifie toujours. Rencontre au Centre hospitalier d'Orléans-la Source avec le chef du service des maladies infectieuses, le docteur Thierry Prazuck et de Julien, patient séropositif. A l'Institut Pasteur, le docteur Azier Saez-Cirion, explique : "...maintenant le but c'est d'éradiquer cette infection, en tout cas pouvoir arriver à des situations où les médicaments ne sont pas nécessaires...".
