At each presidential inauguration, the title of grand master of the National Order of the Legion of Honour is awarded to the new president. The Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour will present the great gold necklace, where the names of all the presidents are engraved, to Emmanuel MACRON at the next ceremony, After the short interview with General Benoît PUGA, Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, archive images of the inauguration ceremonies of François HOLLANDE, Valéry GISCARD d'ESTAING and Georges POMPIDOU detail the protocol.
