The reform of public broadcasting is under review by the National Assembly. The President of the Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, has asked the Board of Directors of France Télévision to vote to eliminate advertising on its channels. Interviewed, Patrick de CAROLIS, CEO of France Télévision explains: "The Board of Directors asked me to implement this decision, so I will do it in the best interests of the company...". Laurent BIGNOLAS, administrator, reacted with a negative opinion.
