Interview by Armand Panigel of Marcel Carné who evokes his beginnings in the cinema and returns to the circumstances of the shooting of his first film "Jenny" adapted from a melody "La prison de velours" Louis Ribaud, after having been assistant director on four films with Jacques Feyder as well as with René Clair. This first film also marks the beginning of his collaboration with Jacques Prévert, to whom he entrusted the adaptation and the script of the film.
