On May 12, 1976, in Glasgow, AS Saint-Etienne lost the final of the European Cup of footaball against Bayern Munich. Some are questioning the square poles that fitted the cages. The Green Museum bought the poles from a Scottish collector. Reception of the poles by the former players of AS Saint-Etienne and interviews with Dominique BATHENAY and Philippe GASTAL, historian and director of the Musée des Verts. Dominique BATHENAY explains: "...everyone wanted to see us win, so we had to hang on to something, that something was the square popteaux".
