At the castle of Fontaibleau, many visitors come for Napoleon I. The conservative Jean-Pierre SAMOYAULT, on the steps leading to the entrance, recalls that it is in front of the monument, in the courtyard "of goodbyes" that the fallen emperor made his farewell to his guard in 1814 before leaving for the Island of Elba. Then he presents the throne room located in the private apartments of Napoleon and Josephine.
