Eugène Christophe reads the commemorative plaque of his feat

The former cyclist Eugène Christophe returns by bike in the Col du Tourmalet where, in 1913, he was the architect of one of the greatest feats of the Tout de France. At the head of the race, the fork of his bike broke and he had to repair it alone in a nearby forge. He reads the commemorative plaque of his high made of weapons sealed on a wall of the village of Sainte-Marie-de-campan and is pleased that his feat is praised.
