The influence of Rosa Parks

The influence of Rosa Parks

Feature story about American civil rights activist Rosa Parks, who passed away at the age of 92. His refusal, in 1955, to give his place to a white man in an Alabama bus, in violation of the racial laws then in force, had launched the movement against segregation in the United States. Comment on archive images, taken from the speech of George W. BUSH, President of the United States: "Rosa Parks contributed to the evolution of the civil rights movement. It has made our country better. It will always have a special place in America’s history".
