Interrogé par Jacques Chancel, Woody Allen porte un jugement sans concession sur la télévision américaine qu'il trouve très mauvaise, "véritablement médiocre". Il explique que ce n'est pas le média en lui-même qui lui pose problème mais l'utilisation qui en est faite, "C'est une honte". Il préfère donc se réfugier dans les programmes sportifs dont il est grand amateur et les infos, le reste ne l'intéressant pas.
