As a measure of economy, the Minister of Economy and Finance Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, announced the next fixing of a summer hour (or "spring time") so that the rhythm of life of the French people is better attuned to the periods of sunshine, and thus save electricity, in a world where cheap energy seems to be gone.
