Agnès Buzyn, Minister of Health and Solidarity, visiting the region, spoke about the closure of the maternity ward of Pithiviers in 2016. For her, the causes of this closure are in no way financial but fall under the safety of pregnant women and their baby when due to a lack of recruitment (shortage of practitioners) the childcare list is not covered.
