Cathy Muller, despite the machismo of the jury, is the winner of the Elf-Winfields School Elf Pilot Contest of the 1981 Magny-Cours circuit. Indeed victorious in the final (5 drivers, 5 laps) following a road trip by Gilles Lempereur, Cathy Muller was forced by the jury to resort to a second final against Gilles Lempereur which she won with more than 3 seconds advantage.
