Traffic was disrupted on Tuesday evening 12 January 1999 in Paris and its region, due to the snowfall that caused nearly 300 kilometres of traffic jams on major roads, where, in some places, a layer of 3 to 5 cm of snow was deposited in less than two hours when leaving the offices.
