In Russia, the Russian presidential elections are held in Moscow. For the first time Russians are invited to nominate the President of the Russian Federation by universal suffrage. Boris Yeltsin appears as the big favourite, ahead of his main rival the entrepreneur Nicolai Ryjkov.
