In Brussels, the Foreign Ministers of the Six signed the Treaty on the Merger of the Community Executives. The three committees, the Coal and Steel Community, Euratom and the Common Market - responsible for preparing and implementing the decisions of the Council of Six Ministers, will be merged into one on 1 January 1966.
