Le Bon Accueil: SPA refuge for animals whose owners are on holiday
What to do with your dog or cat during the holidays? In 1952, the SPA (Société Protectrice des Animaux) proposed a solution: the refuge "Au bon accueil" in Gennevilliers houses animals that their owners could not take with them on holiday. After registration in the register at the reception, as in any hotel, the animals are installed in collective enclosures where they get acquainted with their congeners. If at the end of the holidays, some indelicate masters did not come to look for their four-legged companion, no worries: these left behind will be adopted by animal lovers! The report ends with a last testimony of the love carried by some masters to their animal: the cemetery for animals of Asnières.
