In France, 200,000 people are affected by Parkinson’s disease. 25,000 new cases are reported each year. Fortunately, research has made considerable progress. Patients are treated in hospitals such as the CHU de Limoges or the Timone Hospital in Marseille, which organises workshops to learn how to live with the disease. The commentary on images of patients in consultation or in their professional environment alternates with interviews of patients Guy TERRY, Claudette PAPANICOLAS and Sandrine SERRE, by Frédéric TORNY, neurologist, and Jean-Philippe AZULAY, Head of the Interregional Coordination Centre for Parkinson’s Disease, which suggests treatments to slow the disease down.
