Demeter: the international label for bio-dynamic agriculture
Demeter is an international association that shares the same agricultural practice: bio-dynamics. Every year, the producers of the association from all countries meet to reassess the specifications. The latter defines stricter practices and rules than organic farming. It is aimed at both farmers and professionals in the processing of products. There are some differences in practice between countries which are due in particular to national regulations, for example a product may be authorized in Germany but not in France. The explanations are provided by Maurice MEYER, biodynamic farmer and by Jean Marie DEFRANCE, president of the association DEMETER France.
