The French police organized the August 26, 1942 round-up in Lyon

On August 26, 1942, an order was issued by the Vichy regime to gather all foreign Jews in Lyon and send them to Germany. As recalled by René Nodot, resistance fighter and vice-president of the Rhône Licra on this date there were no Germans in Lyon, this round-up is therefore solely the fault of the Vichy government and the French police.
