Raymond Poulidor: 37,000 kilometres per year on his Mercier bike

The journalist Jean Pierre BERTHET met Raymond POULIDOR in the Limousin where he lives. We follow the favourite cyclist of the French, to the training: "I sometimes do 35,36 and 37,000 kilometers every year by bike..." confides Poupou. We then find Raymond POULIDOR pampering his Mercier bike: "In general, when I clean my bike, I spend two hours... It seems to me that when I get on a dirty bike, I’m going to go slower. I can’t do without this bike, so I have to maintain it, I have to pamper it a little, it’s normal, I have to give it back what it gives me, the joys it can give me."
