The political side of the tainted blood case
Continuation of the trial of blood contaminated by the AIDS virus with the appearance tomorrow of the political leaders in office at the time in 85: Laurent FABIUS (former Prime Minister), Georgina DUFOIX (former Minister of Social Affairs), and Edmond HERVE (former Secretary of State for Health). Michel Lucas' report, which involves the authorities, will be at the heart of the debate. Retrospective on the various statements of these personalities about this painful affair. Comment on archival photos and images as well as illustration images and bench-titles of newspaper articles: - Dr ROUX, former Director-General of Health, accuses the Ministers of having shown an interest, mainly in AIDS testing, and for financial reasons (statement of 4 June 1992). - On 19 June 1985 at the Assembly, Laurent FABIUS voted for the screening and declaration of Laurent Fabius on 27 October 1991. - On 23 July 1985, two decrees were promulgated: compulsory detection and non-reimbursement of unheated products. - On 6 June 1991, Edmond HERVE rejected responsibility for "the unanimous opinion of the experts". - On 31 November 1991, Georgina DUFOIX repeated the phrase "responsible, not guilty".
