En 2009, presque 20 ans après la réforme de 1990, rien n’a vraiment changé dans les règles de l’orthographe. Les simplifications et autres modernisations restent recommandées et les deux écritures coexistent. Interrogés sur l’orthographe de certains mots, des passants se trompent. D’autres disent vouloir conserver l’orthographe de la langue française : « ça demande un effort pour les enfants et c’est excellent ».
